PRINCE WILLIAM SOUND BEARS.

Black bear and Brown bear hunts are conducted in the stunningly beautiful Prince William Sound on a Chugach National Forest guiding concession.

The area has an abundance of marine life and one of the highest populations of black bears in the United States with hides squaring 6-7 feet.

Spring hunts.

Hunting is done by cruising the beaches in a skiff and glassing the grass flats for large male bears. The physical level of this hunt is extremely low. Brown bears are available on the spring hunt.

Fall hunts.

Hunting is done by walking the salmon streams where bears will be encountered feasting on the spawning salmon, success is nearly 100% on this hunt. Brown bears are available on the last hunt

Hunt dates.

Spring hunts:

May 6th to 13th Black bear.

May 15th to 25th Black bear and Brown bear trophy hunt.

May 28th to June 3rd Black bear.

June 5th to 11th Black bear.

Fall hunts:

September 6th to 13th Black bear.

October 15th to 25th Black bear and Brown bear trophy hunt.

Getting There.

Clients fly a scheduled flight to Valdez where you will be met at the Best Western Valdez and returned there at the end of your 7 day hunt.

There is a charter fishing booking agent located in the lobby of the hotel should you wish to partake in some world class sports fishing before or after your hunt.

Hunt Costs.

Black bear 2x1 US$ 4,200.00.

Brown bear add US$6,000.00 to 1x2 Black bear.

A 50% deposit is due at the time of booking, with the balance due 30 days prior to the start of the hunt.
