Free Range Hog Deer in East Gippsland, Victoria

Australian Hunting Consultants is pleased to announce that we have secured the opportunity for the hunting of free-range hog deer on one of the best private areas of hog deer habitat in coastal Victoria.

There will be an opening for a limited number of high quality trophy stags to be harvested each open season (April 1 to 30).

Hunting Method

Hunting is usually done by spot and stalk. We also have at our disposal the use of blinds and hides.

Getting There:

Hunters will be met at Melbourne’s International Airport (Tullamarine) and transported by vehicle to the hunting area some three and a half hours driving.

Accommodation:

You will be accommodated during the hunt in the farmhouse on the property, with all convenience’s, hot showers, comfortable bed, electricity, flushing toilets. All food and beverage are provided during the hunt.

What to Bring:

April is the middle of autumn in Australia so warm comfortable clothing is advised a broad brimmed or peaked cap should be included. Days can be warm in April so some light weight hunting clothing would be advisable. Good binoculars, comfortable boots, camera, a day pack, torch (flash light) and any other personal effects. You may bring your own weapon or one can be supplied for your use at a small cost.

Seasons:

The Open Season for Hog deer run’s for the month of April and your hunt can be scheduled anytime during this period.

Included in cost:

Pick up and return from Melbourne International Airport (Tullamarine), all food and beverage whilst hunting, guiding services, field preparation of trophy, accommodation, tags and licence’s.

Not Included:

The following items are not included in the cost of the hunt.

Travel to and from Melbourne International Airport (Tullamarine).
Accommodation prior to or after your hunt.
Taxidermy preparation and shipping your trophy to country of origin.
Tips or gratitudes to your guide or his staff.
Accompanying non-hunters or partners.
Rifle hire if needed.

Insurance:

Whilst all reasonable care is taken during your stay hunting is a potentially hazardous sport and your guide and his associates will not be held responsible for any loss or injury that may occur .We strongly advise all our clients to arrange adequate insurance prior to leaving home. All hunters will be provided with a copy of Terms and Conditions and Indemnity Form and this must be signed and returned prior to the commencement of their hunt.

This hunt gives the opportunity to take one of these beautiful species of deer in the wonderful natural environment of coastal Victorian lakes district. There are very few places in the world where Hog deer can be hunted free range and with the spectacular bird life and native fauna this makes for a truly memorable hunt.
