TROPHY DEER GAME RANCH HUNTS

We are now offering hunts for 6 species on a game ranch that is managed for trophy potential and continually produces trophies of outstanding quality. Species on offer are Red, Fallow, Rusa, Chital and Sambar deer.

Hunting.

Hunting is mainly done on foot, although some spotting may be done from a vehicle, then the game is stalked on foot. The terrain is mostly flat to rolling hill country interspersed with low scrub & some swampy areas.

Accommodation.

You will be accommodated in farm house style with comfortable beds, hot showers and wholesome home style cooking including soft drink, beer and wine.

Getting There.

You simply fly to Adelaide airport either directly from overseas or you take one of the many connections from any other international airport in Australia. Your Guides will meet you at the airport and drive you the 2 hours to the hunting property.

Costs.

Daily rates:

1x1 5 days hunt US$3000

2x1 5 days US$2800 (non hunters US$150 per day)

Trophy Fees:

Red Deer from US$2,000 to US$3,000

Rusa Deer US$1,500

Fallow Deer US$1,500

Chital Deer US$1,500

Sambar Deer US$3,000

Wapiti/Elk US$3,500

Water Buffalo US$3,000

Deposit of 50% to book your hunt is required. Balance payable 30 days prior to commencement of hunt.
No refund is given after balance is paid. In some cases your hunt can be transferred to another date. Although all attempts will be made to assist you, this is at the discretion of the outfitter.

Trophy Deer

Dates.

Hunting can be done from Feb through to August although this can vary depending on the species you wish to hunt.

Red Deer:
March /April is the rut for red deer which are very vocal at this time but they can be hunted from February till August.

Fallow Deer:
March/ April is also the rut for fallow, they too can be hunted from February till August.

Rusa Deer:
Rusa are in hard antler from early May till November, the best months being June, July, August when the capes are at a premium and the stags are in rut.

Sambar Deer:
Like rusa, sambar are in hard antler from May till December and can be harvested any time during this period.

Chital Deer:
This deer can be found at any stage of antler development during the year, not having any specific growth period and therefore can be hunted year round.

Blackbutt Antelope:
These beautiful antelope can also be hunted year round although the capes are at a premium during the cooler months (June July August).

What To Bring.

Depending on what time of year you wish to hunt, the weather is usually quite cool early morning and in the evenings during the winter months (June July August), so a warm fleece or down jacket will be required. During the day temperatures will be a pleasant 14 to 20 degrees. A waterproof coat is also recommended as rain can sometimes be encountered. A peaked cap or wide brimmed hat is a must as is sun screen and insect repellant. Bring a sturdy pair of walking boots, binoculars, knife , personal items and a towel. You can bring your own weapons (270 minimum) or use the guides weapons at no extra costs.

Transport from Adelaide airport to the hunting area and return.
All meals and accommodation during your hunt.
Preparation of your trophies in the field and making ready for transport.
Guided hunting and transport in the field through out your stay.

Not Included In Cost.

Flights to Adelaide airport and accommodation prior to and after your hunt.
Packaging and freight of your trophies to your home or Taxidermist.
Any spirits /liquor you may consume during your hunt.
Personal items.

Insurance.

Whilst all reasonable care is take during your stay hunting is potentially hazardous and we take no responsibility for injury or loss that may occur during your hunt. We strongly advise our clients to take out their own travel insurance prior to departure.
